Cynthia Birdsill resides in Modesto, CA and is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (BA), the University of Connecticut (JD), and Towson University (MFA). In addition to her work as an artist, she has worked as a scenic artist, a lawyer, and an economic developer. As a scenic artist, she worked at the Hartford Stage Company, Long Wharf Theater, PlayMakers Theatre, and Center Stage. She received the Paul and Elizabeth Green Award for women in theater in 1988, and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She has also studied at the Art Students League and the Maryland Institute, College of Art. Portrait Commissions accepted.
